Shakespeare Schools Festival
Shakespeare Schools Festival is the UK's largest youth drama festival, working with over 1,000 schools and 150 professional theaters across the country.
Our Year 6 pupils have been performing in the festival for several years now, and this year we have the opportunity to perform the comedy 'Much Ado About Nothing'. All Year 6 pupils will have the chance to take part in the project, though it is optional if children perform or not.
Drama Club, for those that wish to act in the production, will start in Autumn Term, running after school. Children that are involved in the production will be able to work with professional directors and technicians in order to create their performance, which will take place at Harlow Playhouse (a new venue for us) on Wednesday 4th November 2015. Full details of the rehearsal schedule and the performance will be given in Autumn Term.
In the meantime, children can review the story and think about how they might like to be involved in the production. We look forward to starting rehearsals and getting our project underway! Have a lovely summer.
