English
Note to children and parents.
Looking at tomorrow's supporting sheets.
You may wish to look ahead to tomorrow's English as there are lots of support sheets to have a look through so you can start to think about how to write a balanced argument about the points for and against a vegetarian diet.
Discuss the issues.
You could discuss this with your friends or facetime, video chat or the phone and also with members of your family. What do you think? How many ideas can you make notes about so that you are ready to write an introduction on Wednesday. Then you will be ready to write the main argument on Thursday and add the final paragraph with your own opinions by Friday. Or you could choose to write it all by Thursday and have Friday off of your English work if you can manage your time. You decide!
Make notes to help you with your writing.
My discussing this issue with others and having a think about which words and phrases you want to use, you will be able to produce a better piece of writing than if you were to just start writing straight away. This is an important planning stage not to be missed out and most people have an opinion or know some facts on this issue.
We hope that you enjoy this task and will look forward to reading some and posting them on this website under the Year Five pages.
Good Luck!
