Lesson 1: The Invasions

 

This half term, our topic learning will be History and about the Romans. For our first lesson, children will be learning about how the Romans conquered Britain. Use the PowerPoint to display/read the following questions for the children to discuss. What do they know about the Roman empire? Can they name any key people from the time? What happened during the Roman invasions? As the PowerPoint continues, children should be encouraged to take notes of key facts along the way. Invasion Questions: Children use their notes and the information on the Invasion Questions Activity Sheets to answer the comprehension questions about the Roman invasions.
