aim for all pupils to became confident and inquisitive geographers. Geography is a brilliant way of developing children’s natural fascination for the world around them. Wand fascination about the world and its people, that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
We understand the great value of fieldwork to inspire and motivate children.
Geography is taught as a standalone subject, matched to the National Curriculum and carefully planned to show progression across the whole school. The skills developed include: Locational Knowledge, Place Knowledge, Human and Physical Geography, and Mapping and Fieldwork skills.
We have Knowledge Organisers for each topic for your child, which will be available on the website. They contain key facts and information that children need, to have a basic knowledge and understanding of each topic, and give them a clear ‘bigger picture’ of their learning.
