Lesson 3- Layers of the Rainforest
This week in geography, learning will be based around the layers of a rainforest. A rainforest can be split up into layers. Each layer is different because of the amount of light and water it gets. By the end of the lesson, children should be able to name the four layers of a rainforest, explain about the climate, animals and plants found in each layer and be able to describe and understand the features of the layers of a rainforest. For the learning activity, children should choose either the Tricky, Trickier or Trickiest worksheet and match the captions and the facts to the correct areas of the rainforest. Challenge:Can your child use the internet and/ or non-fiction books to find out more about one layer?
