Lesson One

This would have been lesson 4 in our History Topic lesson sequence, so the children should have quite a bit of background knowledge on Stone Age- Iron Age. 

Archaeologists have several ideas about what Stonehenge was used for. They use evidence found at Stonehenge and technology to get ideas. 

Please use the powerpoint below to gather information on Stonehenge and then use either the tricky, trickier or trickiest worksheet to create an argument for a debate about why Stonehenge was built. Look at your character role and find out what your character thinks.

Can you come up with any more ideas for why your character might be right? Jot them down on your paper.
