History

This week we turn to the Ancient Greek theatre! The theatre- loving Ancient Greeks flocked to hillside theatres during their leisure time to watch the latest plays.Look at the PowerPoint presentation (with a clip embedded) to find out about who starred in these plays and what they were all about.

Tricky task -imagine you have visited the Greek theatre for the first time-tell a friend all about it! (Use the postcard template for your task.)

Trickier/trickiest- write a diary entry (or a couple of entries) from the perspective of either an actor on stage or a member of the audience. Remember to include details you have learned in your diary entry.

 

This ties in beautifully with your creative task this week where you get to use your historical knowledge when designing and creating a Greek mask.
