Lesson 5- Gods and Goddesses
This week’s history learning outcome is for the children to understand what religious beliefs the Romans had and know about some of the gods and goddesses that they worshipped. Use the PowerPoint to gather information about Roman religion. During the PowerPoint, you will be bought to a slide regarding the elements of Roman religion, Children should use the information from the introduction, their own knowledge and dictionaries to define the meaning of the different elements of Roman religion. Then, continue to use the PowerPoint and following slides showing comparisons with Greek gods, the Roman God Family Tree and details about some of the gods and goddesses. Next, children should make or play a game to help them remember and record key facts about Roman gods and goddesses. After playing the game, children move on to designing and creating a Gods Fact Poster to record some of the facts they have learned about the different gods and goddesses.
