Pierre Henry-Fontaine visit to Brookland!
Thank you so much to all the children for raising lots of money over the last few weeks for Sports for Champions.
The children had a fantastic time participating in the fitness circuit ran by Pierre Henry-Fontaine (professional basketball player). His assembly was truly inspiring. He spoke about the importance of fitness and training, maintaining a healthy, balanced diet, working hard, as well as explaining that anything is possible if you want it enough.
In total we raised £1792, £800 of that is for Brookland Junior School to spend on anything associated with sports/keeping active.
The children’s committee will be asked this week for their opinion on what they think the children at Brookland would like to spend the money raised on.
A special congratulation to Cedar Class for raising the most money out of all 12 classes. They have been given a certificate for this achievement. Well done Cedar.
We had 22 children raise over £35, each having their photo taken with Pierre to take home as a keepsake. We also had 64 children who raised between £5-£34.99, taking home a post-card/poster of Pierre.
A great achievement Brookland. Well done everyone
