Year 5

Welcome to the Year 5 page. We look forward to sharing lots of great content on here for you.

In Year 5, pupils take part in a range of interactive lessons and activities designed to enhance their learning and prepare them for Year 6. This includes swimming sessions, as well as an enriching visit to the British Museum that supports their curriculum studies.

Our pupils will also participate in the Mini-Police Programme, which offers a fun and interactive volunteering opportunity aimed at building trust in the police. The programme teaches valuable practical and transferable life skills, while addressing key areas such as online safety and bullying.

The jump in curriculum, learning, and expectations from Year 4 is significant, and our team supports the children throughout this transition. Through engaging topics and increasing levels of independence, pupils expand their understanding and develop the confidence and skills they need for the next stage of their learning journey.
