Lesson 6: Which actions show devotion to God?

 

In RE this week, Children should use what they have learnt this year in relation to Islam and Christianity, to discuss and compare how members of the Islamic and Christian communities show devotion to God. Please ensure your child uses the PowerPoint to recap key facts, before creating an information leaflet. To help, children should use their notes from their learning this term, think back to previous learning in school this year and use the attached ‘comparative connectives, conjunctions and adverbials word mat’ to support when explaining how the religious communities are alike or different.

Leaflets should include:

-A front cover page

-An introduction paragraph explaining what the leaflet will tell the reader (including a definition of what devotion means)

-An information page on Islamic communities

-An information page on Christian communities

-A page comparing and contrasting the similarities and differences between the two communities.
