Redwood Home Learning Summer 2

Roman trip to Welwyn Roman Baths and museum

In Art we sculpted these superbugs using papier mache.

International Week- Poland

We researched the geography and culture of Poland. We made posters and designed our own symmetrical artwork, based on Polish paper cut folk Art, Wycinanki.

Spring 1 News

This half term Redwood have enjoyed the Science topic States of Matter. We have investigated a range of solids, liquids and gases including melting ice and chocolate. Our 'cool' DT topic has been creating a new healthy ice lolly using fresh fruit and juice. We created a recipe and really enjoyed making and tasting them (pics to follow). In English we have learnt how write a clear explanation. We have explained how things work, including a steam-powered rhino (from the book Charlie Small). In Maths we have learnt about shapes and used Purple Mash to practise our times tables for our test in June. We are starting to increase our scores by practising every morning. On Thursday mornings we have enjoyed going swimming.
