Year 3

Welcome to Year 3!

11th March 2021

Dear Year Three children and families,

It has been so lovely to see the children's smiling faces back in school this week and we hope you are enjoying the fact that you can see your friends again! ( Both children and parents!) We have missed you children!

This half term we will be learning about perimeter, angles and two dimensional shapes in Maths and carrying on with our journey around the world in the Atlas of Adventures and refining our writing skills. Any conversations you can have on these topics at home will enrich the children's learning experiences.

Continuing with our focus on google classroom, in Science we investigate the pulls and push forces and magnetism and in topic we are learning about how pre-historical Britains lived.  As Spring is nearly here, we are learning about the importance of the Easter story to Christians in our religious studies.

We are honing our literal retrieval skills through the continuation of the fantastic story about Bill's new frock and would remind you  to keep reading at home and also to give consideration to how we think about others around us in class and show consideration to them and their learning .

Let's celebrate our right to an education AND to have fun playing with our friends at playtimes and lunchtimes and how important this is too.

Always try your best and parents, we hope you enjoy the peace!

The Year Three team.

Do look inside your class folders below to have a sneaky peak at what some of you have been up to.  Keep the photos coming!

PTFA Spring Smarties Challenge

Year Three are supporting the PTFA's Smarties Challenge. Fill an empty Smarties tube with twenty pence coins; there will be a prize for the class which raises the most money. Please return the filled tubes to school when we reopen. All of the money raised by the PTFA is spent on the children.
