These tasks (below) follow the learning that children in school are completing. In school, we teach four English and four maths lessons each week.
Whilst we plan in advance, we amend our lessons to meet the needs of the children as they emerge. For this reason, lessons may not be uploaded to the website until the morning.
The tasks included are optional; we know many children in school enjoy their lessons and do not wish to miss out on what their peers are completing.
Please use the class email addresses, which we monitor daily, should you need any guidance regarding these activities, or if you wish to share your child's successes.
Welcome to Year 6!
Dear parents and year 6 children,
Thank you for being so understanding during this unprecedented time, for all of us. We appreciate everything you are doing at home with your children to ensure they are still getting an education.
Please do not feel pressurised to complete a mountain of work on a daily basis just do as much as you can. All the work the children need to do is in the folders below titled: Home Learning - School Closure - Summer Term
Your child needs to keep up with their daily reading, times table and spelling practice.
Mrs Coombs has also added resources and activities to the 'Rights Respecting Schools' tab, have a look and give some of them a go.
Please could you also complete one activity per week from the link below, it covers online safety. It would be great if parents and children could complete the activities together.
Whilst school is closed, you can contact us on the following email addresses:
Miss Mansi - firstname.lastname@example.org
Mr Kaal - email@example.com
Mrs Barton/Miss Rogers - firstname.lastname@example.org
It would be great to see what the children are getting up to while they are working during home learning, so please email class teachers photos of what the children are doing. We will put them up on this page (with parental permission) under the heading: School Closure Home learning Photos. Some photos may even make it on to Mr Douglas' weekly newsletter.
Thank you in advance for being so supportive of everything we are doing at school!
